Formerly Monari's 101 Club in LaSalle, IL.The Supper Club was founded in 1952 and purchased by Betty and Earl Monari in 1964.

Their kids, Earl and Renee Monari and Cathy Martin, took it over in 1986 and ran it until they retired in 2015 and closed their doors on April 1st.

Loyal patrons hoped it was an April Fool’s joke. It wasn’t.

The 101 Supper Club, serving steak, fish, ravs, spaghetti, pork tenderloins.But exactly two years later on April 1st, 2017, Donnie Moore and his wife Ellen reopened Monaris 101 as the 101 Supper Club.

Donnie and Ellen are proud to uphold the Monari tradition of keeping the restaurant a family-run business where food is cooked from scratch, drinks are poured by friendly bartenders, food is served with exceptional service, and fun is always on the menu!

Donnie Moore grew up in Oglesby, IL, son of Henry and Janet Moore, owners of the Rootbeer Stand.Donnie Moore grew up in Oglesby, IL where his parents founded the Rootbeer Stand. Eager to pursue a career in the restaurant biz, he attended Lansing Community College and studied restaurant management before working at the Starved Rock Lodge as a bartender and floor manager.

Eager to gain experience in the hospitality industry, he followed friends to Colorado, where he managed a number of restaurants in the ski towns of Winter Park and Fraser.

He also gained experience in carpentry building custom homes, a skill he knew would help him when he opened his own restaurant – a dream he held onto during his nearly 25 years in the Rocky Mountains.

Monaris 101 reopened as The 101 Supper Club. That dream came true when he learned the Monaris were selling their family restaurant in LaSalle, IL a few miles from his hometown.

Now married to a Colorado native, Donnie brought his wife Ellen to the IL Valley where they reopened Monaris 101 as the 101 Supper Club.

First time back last night and the only thing I would change is..nothing! It was excellent. We got the pepper rings as an app with the choo choo sauce (sweet and spicy) and I had my old stand by of broiled chicken. It couldn’t have been better.

We felt very welcomed and had excellent service just like before. So happy this place went from the hands of one great family to another.

The fried chicken was perfection. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Prepared simply so you can really enjoy the quality of the ingredients. I ordered the half portion so I would have some leftover.  It was still crispy the next day!

Bonus: The hot food is served piping HOT and the salads are COLD and crisp. The environment is warm and inviting, and Donny is such a gracious host.

Left the restaurant with great memories and a happy tummy! We got the fried pepper rings for an app and they were sooo good! I also got the bacon wrapped salmon with mango sauce which I highly recommend!

I can’t wait to go back and get the Pesto pasta! The sample of the sauce I got last night sold me! My taste buds about exploded!
